This summary outlines the topics covered in a Level 1 Baking and Patisserie program over the course of four weeks. The first week begins with an introduction to baking, including identifying tools and measuring ingredients. Students learn how to make Chin-chin and donuts, as well as meat and chicken pies.
In week 2, students move on to making small chops such as samosas, spring rolls, and puff-puffs, as well as sardine bread and beef burgers. Week 3 focuses on cake baking basics, including different types of flour, cake mixing and baking methods, and making icing for decorating. Students learn how to hold and fill a piping bag, ice and decorate a cake, and make buttercream icing.
The program wraps up in week 4 with a focus on cookies, as well as assessments and exams. Students also have the opportunity to make Nigerian snacks, cookies, and cake, and present their creations. Overall, this Level 1 program provides a comprehensive introduction to baking and patisserie for beginners, covering a range of topics and techniques over the course of four weeks.
